APRIL 2009 NOTICE TO ALL LISTENERS OF "MASSNET" APRIL 01, 2009 After many long hours of thought and deliberation we have made a decision we wish we did not have to make. Based upon the recent level of interest in Buffing and the continued reduced level of financial support from our subscriber base we have decided to shut "MassNet" down. The current financial restraints upon us all have just made this to expensive to continue. As some may know the John Hancock was auctioned off on Tuesday and we have already been contacted to re-negotiate our lease. This would most likely lead to an increase in our rent. For the past three years we have taken in less than 25% of the needed funds to support this location and therefore must take this action. JANUARY 2009 Nashua Trunked Radio system has started re-banding - New Control channel is 853.450, replacing 868.450. Secondary control channel is 852.3625 replacing 867.3625. FEBRUARY 2008 Frisbee EMS Rochester is now dispatched on 151.235 (103.5) JANUARY 2008 Wilton-Lyndeborough-Temple EMS based in Wilton, NH currently covers the Towns of Wilton, Lyndeborough and Temple with dispatch from two different dispatch centers. Wilton calls are dispatched by MACC Base in Milford on 155.100 as 30A1 or 30A2, Lyndeborough calls are dispatched by KMA SWNH on 154.43 as 82A1 and 82A2 and Temple calls are dispatched also by SWNH on 154.43 as 50A1 and 50A2. When the ambulance is toned to Wilton calls, they come up on the SWNH frequency to advise that they are on a call to Wilton, and visa versa when they go to Lyndeborough or Temple they go up on the MACC Base Frequency and tell them the same. This is to avoid both dispatch centers trying to send out the same rig.
North Andover FD has re-banded now operating on 852.600 DPL 226 This came about because the towns of Lyndeborough and Temple use SWNH for their Fire Dispatch and wanted the Ambulance on the same frequency, while Wilton is a member of MACC Base and continues to use them for all departments. Just pointed out to us Merrimack Fire dispatch on 153.980 is now on a repeater The fire ground frequency of 154.415 is no longer on a repeater DECEMBER 2007 Chichester NH -- Call Sign WQIA749 - Public Safety Pool, 150.995 and 151.010 - Location: Fire Station 22 Main St, Local Government Frequencies To Be Used For Coordination Of Public Works And Internal Interoperability Within Town Limits |

They paid just $2,500 for the vehicle which has a mere 5,000 miles on it. The pumper truck was previously owned by the Boylston MA Fire Department. The plan is to keep the pumper truck on the west side of the Ammonoosuc River. With the weight limit restrictions placed on the Bath Covered Bridge, it is imperative to have an emergency vehicle that can be on the ready on the west side of the River. The original fieldstone building in the center of the complex was the Jenckes Mill, oldest mill site in Woonsocket. Over the years, the mill was called the Dunn Worsted, making woolen goods and was finally home to Electronic Molding Corporation. While a thrift store tried and failed to make a go of it in one of the newer areas, the complex had been vacant for at least 10 years. A major concern was to keep the fire from spreading to a residential block of multifamily homes and a furniture store across the street and downwind of the inferno. Fire and rescue personnel from North Smithfield, Lincoln, Cumberland, Blackstone, Millville and other surrounding communities poured in to assist and to provide station coverage. |
