hosts the largest crowds for any sporting event in all of New England.
Certain races attract in about 105000 fans. To handle all the incoming and
then outgoing traffic on a limited infrastructure is a logistic marvel.
Several roads including State Hwy 106
and Interstate 93 become one-way for certain parts of the day (You will see
three lanes of traffic southbound leaving the race on a two lane road
(normally one lane each direction). |
