Link frequencies on 453.0125/110.9, 452.375/94.8 and 465.6375/110.9 are heard a good distance to the east of Keene. These UHF frequencies often get reconfigured, however. As of January 2004 only 453.0125 is heard reliably east of the Merrimack River.

Police dispatch frequencies include 155.070 for Cheshire County, 155.640 for the Dublin / Peterborough NH area, 155.250/155.535 for Keene PD, 155.475 for State Car to Car, 155.910/156.090 for occasional State PD radio traffic, and 151.340 New Hampshire Fish and Game repeaters. Fish and game and NHSP have mostly gone digital.

Many towns having ambulances have their rescue crews dispatched on 155.220 out of Keene using the call sign of KTG523 and are simulcast on 154.430. The dispatch on 155.220 will soon be going away (So I am told Jan 2003, as of Jan 2004 I still hear much traffic here.). The most common destination for the ambulances is Cheshire Hospital in Keene. Towns of the Deerfield Valley in Vermont use 155.265 for ambulance dispatch. Dispatch also have communication capabilities on 155.340 Med-1, 155.280 Med-2 and 155.175 Med-3. s The call sign for Deerfield Valley Rescue is KDX768. Ambulance designators are DV1 through DV3.

Contact is made to the hospital on 155.340 (PL 136.5)(MED-1) when Keene Hospital is the destination. 155.385(MED-2) as well as 155.175 (MED-3) may also be used.

33.54 is used in the region for the Tri-State Fire Mutual Aid system which is used mainly in Franklin County Massachusetts and bordering towns in Vermont and New Hampshire.

Deerfield Valley VT towns have in the past used 154.010 for Mutual Aid communications but are now dispatch on 154.430. 154.010 might still be used as a fire ground.

The SWNHDFMA numbering system in some cases overlaps the Tri-State system.

In the evenings SWNHDFMA used to do a full ID on the hour simulcast on 154.43 / 154.385 / and 33.780. (This is no longer true, however, I still hear them several times a day doing ID's at the top of some hours)

Near the town line between Fitzwilliam and Troy is the Meadowood Fire Training Facilities, and Fire Station. Follow the signs or look on your map for Bowkerville. Correct spelling maybe Boikerville. Meadowood temporarily disbanded November 1999.
