Sponsorships Overview

Swnh.org relies on a combination membership dues and very limited advertising or sponsorship to pay the bills and support the work on this site.
Now your support can go directly to specific pages of content. It is our way to both recognize you for your support and also allow businesses to receive something in return for support they provide to the site.

How to sponsor a page

In order to sponsor a page, you need to:

1. Identify a page or module you wish to sponsor. For Example:
   1. Fire Logs
   2. Rescue Logs
   3. Frequency Index Page
   4. Current Events Module on home page
   5. See below if you desire a larger advertisement under the Can I put a larger add on your web site? section
2. Pending out approval (usually within 72 hours), your sponsorship will then appear on the site.
3. On each page that accepts sponsorships, there will either be a colored box containing sponsorship message or a colored box stating the page is available.
4. Enter a new or choose an existing message for your sponsorship.
5. Currently we accept payments via check only. In the future we may process payments in a variety of ways such as through trusted third parties as PayPal. When sending money, please have your ad/sponsorship notice approved first.
6. If you created a new entry, we will read it and approve it, and then your ad/sponsorship notice will appear. Please note the approval process may take several days if traffic is especially heavy. If we do not receive your payment in a reasonable amount of time, your ad/sponsorship notice will be removed.

2. Encourages people to contribute to the production of this site, and the financial well being of Statewide New Hampshire Notification Association and
3. allows advertising on the site in an effective yet unobtrusive way.

What is an entry?

An entry is the text that appears on a page or set of pages you sponsor. You can have different entries for different pages or the same entry for everything. Each entry is charged a fee.

Can we put anything into an entry?

Yes and no. Entries don't have to point to another website. They could just be a buff sponsoring their favorite page, or the entries can point to any (non-porn, non-offensive) website. We will refund your money if an appropriate entry can't be agreed upon.

How much does it cost?

The price to sponsor a page (or set of pages) depends directly on the popularity of the page. The vast majority are $2/month (minimum) to $5/month (maximum). This equate to yearly rates of $24 to $60 year. Each entry is posted for one year, payments are only accepted in one year increments.

Why different prices?

The prices are roughly set to match the number of visitors per month who visit a page. Using the advertising rate of $1.00 per 1,000 page views/month. Pages such as the Fire Logs, Rescue Logs, and Frequency Index page are the most popular.

Can I put a larger add on your web site?

Yes, but it will be on a page by itself. Either you or the Statewide webmaster can design the page. Other content unique to this ad/sponsor page made be added, the content to be provided by the advertiser/sponsor.

Our primary mode is to provide the previously described small ad/sponsor notice with a link to your home page. However, we can be flexible.
$24-$60 is the fee for the required standard ad/sponsor notice, and $60 per year is the fee for an unchanging unique stand alone advertisement page.

Rates for monthly content changes will be charged at $5 per change to page with a minimum charge of $60 (billed annually) Changes to the standard ad/sponsor notice may be done on a monthly basis for free. Remember, the amount of text in the standard notice is limited.

Can I advertise in your newsletter

Currently Statewide has no plans to reestablish a printed newsletter

Are you getting rich off this?

No. Statewide New Hampshire is a Non-profit organization registered with the State of New Hampshire We are receiving enough support to cover our ISP costs, to help defray some of our radio repeater costs, and to sponsor club memberships for those in financial need. Any extra money we may earn, will go the a charitable cause, such as the Shriner's Burn Hospital in Boston. We would also like to have a small pool of radio equipment available to loan to our members in need for a short term basis.
