The Wolfeboro Fire-Rescue Department consists of a paid staff of eight (a Chief, a Deputy Chief, three Lieutenants, and three Firefighters. Latest numbers (Dec 2001) indicate 19 members of the Fire-Rescue Department, including 5 paid Firefighters. The rescue company has six members: one captain, no lieutenant, and five members. The 2002 proposed rescue budget, is $120,855. The majority of the rescue budget is money paid for the ambulance contract, at $84,000 per year There are 20 call officers and firefighters on the roster.
The Department operates out of two stations...Central Station on South Main Street (Rte 28) is staffed 24 hours/day, and the Substation on Route 109-East, towards the Ossipee town line, houses one engine (Engine 4) and is covered by call firefighters.

Update March 2004 - We now have our new utility vehicle. 3 new firefighters, 3 person coverage 4 days per week 2 person coverage the rest.
